So far, 28kg have left my body and I am in complete shock of how fast that has gone!
I’ve dropped 2-3 dress sizes, from a size 14-16 and now a 10 in pants and 10-12 in tops.
Eating is a continuous learning curve, but it is getting better each week. I can only eat 1/4 - 1/3 of a cup of food max at each meal, and I find foods that have a higher carb content (i.e. pasta, rice, potato) don’t tend to agree with me so much so these are limited to about 1tbs if I am having these with a meal.
I’m still quite sensitive to dairy, however I can manage a trim flat white okay!
My job requires quite a bit of my energy, so I have found it has been important to carry a few healthy snack foods with me to keep the energy levels up. Vege crackers and hummus, bliss balls, and pickles out of the jar seem to be my go-to at the moment!
A month before surgery, I nearly got to 100kg on the scales. Pre-surgery weight was at 97.4kg. Today I am on the cusp of being 69kg! Weight loss has been steady, losing an average of 1.5kg a week. I’m really content with the size of my body now, but my body isn’t showing many signs of slowing down just yet. My next focus is to work on maintaining a good level of energy so I can start weight training and build some muscle!
