### Shanelle’s Journey: From Overcoming Challenges to Her Dream Transformation in Thailand
After losing 57kg, Shanelle knew that her journey wasn’t just about the weight—it was about taking control of her life. “I quit the job I hated and found a role I love. I cut out toxic people from my life, and now I use exercise to manage my depression and anxiety instead of reaching for comfort foods,” she says. While she still enjoys comfort foods occasionally, she emphasizes that now she has control over her choices. “I have control over my life and my emotions!”
Shanelle was on the brink of reaching her goal weight when she and her mum made a life-changing decision: booking plastic surgery in Thailand with Destination Beauty. After all the hard work she’d put into losing weight, this was the final step in her transformation.
Shanelle’s surgery took place with the renowned Dr. Ring. She had an Extended Tummy Tuck (ETT), a Breast Lift (BL), and Breast Augmentation (BA). This was her first overseas trip in her 30 years, making the experience even more significant. “As the surgery date got closer, my mum was more nervous than I was,” she recalls. “I kept busy with work, spending time with my kids, and hanging out with friends to distract myself from overthinking.”
For Shanelle, the excitement far outweighed the nerves. “This surgery was my last piece in becoming the best version of myself—not just for me, but for my children,” she explains. The transformation journey had been long and challenging, but Shanelle was determined to take this final step to feel more comfortable and confident in her body.
Through her experience, Shanelle hopes to inspire others to embrace their journey, find control in their lives, and make decisions that will help them become the best version of themselves.
