"My highest weight was 140kg, I had tried so many different diets but none of them got me any lower than 120 kg and I always gained the weight back. Both my mum and I decided to get a gastric bypass done ( I was only 19 years old). We got our surgery done in December 2020 on the same day. My mum was 115 kilos and now only weighs 75kg. I have no balance with my weight so I tend to stay around 95kilos (I am 179cm or 5.11 tall). Food-wise, I still get to enjoy almost everything I did before but it’s just a lot of smaller portions. My body tells me when it’s enough. I try to keep to a high-protein diet most of the time but that’s all I look out for. I would decide to have a gastric bypass again in a heartbeat.
