Why did you decide to have body contouring surgery?

After losing over 80 kilos, I was left with a lot of excess skin. I'd worked incredibly hard to lose the weight and wanted to complete my transformation by having the excess skin removed. I did a lot of research before making my decision and felt confident that this was the right next step for me.

What were your goals for surgery?

My goal was to address the areas that were affected most by my weight loss and excess skin. I had an extended tummy tuck, mons lift, arm lift with liposuction, breast reduction and lift, and liposuction to several areas. I wanted to feel more comfortable in my body and finally see the full results of all the hard work I'd put into losing over 80 kilos.

How was your recovery?

The recovery experience has been really positive. The nurses are amazing and the level of care has been incredible. Whenever I needed anything, they were there straight away. It felt like they would run to my room to help. The pain management was excellent, and the team was always checking on me and making sure I was comfortable. Staying in the hospital for nine days gave me a lot of peace of mind.
